  3. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the party to which the information is provided shall not be considered a third party in the following cases.

  1. If vendors entrust the handling of personal information, in whole or in part, within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use.
  2. If personal information is provided in connection with the succession of business due to a merger or other reasons.
  3. If personal information is to be used jointly with a specific party, the individual will be informed in advance, or made readily available, of the elements of personal information that will be used jointly, the person with whom the personal information will be used jointly, the purpose of the use, and the name or title of the person responsible for the management of the personal information involved.

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information).

If vendors are requested to disclose personal information by the individual, Vendors shall disclose such information to the individual without delay. However, vendors may decide not to disclose all or part of the personal information if disclosure would result in any of the following cases, and if vendors decide not to disclose the personal information, they notify the person without delay. In addition, a fee of 1,000 yen per case is charged for the disclosure of personal information.

  1. If there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the person or a third party.
  2. If there is a risk of significant impediment to the proper conduct of the vendor's business.
  3. If it would violate any other laws or regulations.

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, in principle, information other than personal information, such as history information and characteristic information, will not be disclosed.

If personal information held by vendors is incorrect, customers may request vendors to correct, add, or delete (hereinafter referred to as “correction”) the personal information in accordance with the procedures specified by vendors.

If vendors receive a request from the customer as described in the preceding paragraph and determine that it is necessary to respond to the request, vendors shall correct the personal information without delay.

If vendors make the correction in accordance with the preceding paragraph, or decide not to make the correction, vendors shall notify the customer of such decision without delay.

 

Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.).

If vendors receive a request from the person in question to stop using or erase (hereinafter referred to as "suspension/to suspend") personal information on the grounds that the information is being used for purposes other than those for which it was intended, or that the information was obtained by wrongful means, vendors shall investigate the situation without delay.

If, based on the results of the investigation described in the preceding paragraph, vendors determine that it is necessary to respond to the request, vendors suspend the personal information without delay.

If vendors suspend, in accordance with the preceding paragraph, or decide not to do so, vendors shall notify the customer of such decision without delay.

Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, vendors shall take such alternative measures as may be necessary to protect the rights and interests of the customer in cases where suspension of use, etc. would entail substantial costs or where it is otherwise difficult to suspend.

 

Article 9 (About Cookies).
