Nose: A bouquet of aromas such as violet, peony, and cherry, with spicy notes of pepper, licorice, and leather.
Palate: Supple and well-balanced, with beautiful roundness. Very fruity, with aromas that give it superb length. Refined tannins. In sum, a wine that is both indulgent and lively.

In 1928, Henri Claudius Trénel, a restaurateur in Cluny, started his wine business. Shortly after, he bought Lacrouze spirits. From 1945 to 1988, thanks to André Trénel, the company became a local benchmark. Among his close friends was Jules Chauvet, a mentor to many local winegrowers. Upon Chauvet's death, the Chauvet House was taken over by André Trénel. In 2015, the House was bought by an enthusiast whose ambition was to restore Trenel to its former status as a benchmark for quality in the region.
