Winery

The Côtes de Millau is a French wine of controlled designation of origin produced in the department of Aveyron, bearing the name of the city of Millau, known for its famous viaduct, the highest in the world. It is one of the smallest vineyards in France, classified AOC since 2013.
We highlight this heritage in environmentally friendly organic wines, The current winery was built in 1992 by Bernard Portalier, whose maternal and paternal grandparents, already established in the village, were winegrowers themselves.

Today, Ludovic Bouviala and Eric Portalier are at the head of Domaine du Vieux Noyer. As key contributors to the revival of the AOP Côtes de Millau, they produce quality wines with the utmost respect for the environment.

The estate covers 32 hectares surrounding the Château de Peyrelade, in the Aveyron region. Our vines flourish at an altitude of over 400 meters on the sunny south-facing slopes of the Gorges du Tarn.

Growing on clay-limestone soils and benefiting from optimal sunshine, combined with altitude, our grapes enable us to produce wines of exceptional quality.
